A cacophony of laughter fades
Along with the photographs on the page
Turning through time
long flown by
A ghost of a glimmer in her eyes.

Dog eared with tears
And tattered edges
Souls touched upon
Between the pages
Ghosts turning through the phrases
Haunting the spines
Of loved books
Written and read through the ages
I’m a prisoner of ghosts
A host to tea parties
Where they haunt the table
Pouring water till it spills
Another soul to kill
Ghosts blush blue
Like smoke
As you kiss
Those cancer sticks
Standing in your window
Of haze
You always were one
To say goodbye in a blaze
On a carousel
go round and round
There is a silence beneath the melody
where ghosts lurk
Trying to run free
Written in 2014 or 2015, not sure
Shared on previous blog
To the wind
I will whisper
All my secrets
And they will be transparent
And whirl up the leaves
And my secrets
Will turn into hushed silence
Flowing through the breeze
A sprinkling of words
Settled into the atmosphere
Like a ghost
People will always hear
But they’ll shrug their shoulders
And off they’ll go
Not a sound, not a word
Just an eerie feeling
There was something unheard.
