A gorillas existential crisis

The fall to anger

May 7, 2019May 7, 2019MattLeave a comment

In this anger I have raged
Never to do that again
Burning fuses before the game
Incarcerating myself in guilt and shame
After the change
From hatreds summer to wilting
And falling
Walking back on moments
Trespassed
By impatience
The irony of having fallen further behind

Funeral home

As they bring you in
Tears will flow eternal

And vague regrets
Will invade our skin

And you will not be there
To tame the itch

Candles will be lit
Tempting us to embrace

The quiet
of your absence
