When Depression has got it’s grip on you, every little thing you should do, need to do feels like a chore.
Every damn thing.
There is so much resistance, sickening resistance within, to do anything.
Forget the analogy of drowning in water.
It’s like wading through treacle.
People don’t often mention how physically exhausting depression is, but for me that’s one of the worst symptoms. I’ve got a virus right now and am struggling to move about because I’m wiped out, but the first few days of illness I wondered if it was depression because the sensations are similar.
