    Matt, “sugarcane legs / our boots tracked sepia” really gets me—the way those lines feel both playful and foreboding hits just right. This whole piece buzzes with chaotic nostalgia and eerie wonder!

    Love this evocation of memories and the images. ‘monsters had plagued the washin’ line’ – this took me back to my childhood back-garden.

      Thanks. Yea, when you’re a kid and watch a scary film (you shouldn’t have been watching) then go out till is getting somewhat dark in the summer and the wind ruffles the laundry and your child imagination runs riot..
